Frequently Asked Questions

What can I expect during my treatment?

Neuromodulatorinjections are non-surgical and typically completed during an office visit.

Pre-treatment consultation: We’ll evaluate your area(s) of concern, review your medical history, and discuss your concerns and goals.

Your injection treatment: The injection (such as Botox®) is prepared to maintain potency on the day of treatment. Before the actual treatment, the area will be cleaned and cooled with an ice pack. You may be given a topical anesthetic to numb the area if needed. Then, our experienced professionals will inject very small amounts of Botox into carefully-targeted muscles with a small needle.

What are the benefits of neuromodulator injections?

It’s a non-surgical procedure (anesthesia is often not needed).

The procedure is quick and often called the “lunch hour” treatment.

It smoothes frown lines and dynamic wrinkles for younger-looking skin.

There is no downtime.

Treatment can be tailored to individual needs.

How many treatment sessions will I need and how long will the results last?

You should see the results 5 – 7 days after your initial treatment. Re-injection is typically needed every three to six months to maintain your intended results.

How are neuromodulator injections different than facial fillers?

Facial fillers add volume by injecting collagen into the treatment area to reduce the appearance of wrinkles, fine lines, and creases. Neuromodulator injections (such as Botox®) relax the muscles in the face that cause wrinkles. Our professionals will help choose the right option for you during your initial consultation.

How long will the results last?

Generally, your results will last between three to five months. Many of our patients schedule follow-up treatments twice a year to maintain their results. However, the number of treatments you’ll need to achieve your skincare goals will depend on your age, skin concerns, and skin health.
